Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Chad Schwartz, P.E. is a licensed Professional Engineer and the founder of Ahead Engineering, LLC, a telecommunications and civil engineering firm specializing in wireless infrastructure, small cell deployment, EV charging and smart city systems.
With more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications design, client management, and business development, Schwartz leads Ahead Engineering with a hands-on approach grounded in real-world construction and engineering practice. His expertise spans structural, mechanical, electrical, and network design, as well as control systems and engineering for zoning and planning, where he has served as a professional witness.
Schwartz has served as Engineer of Record for in-building distributed antenna systems (iDAS) at major transportation hubs including Newark Liberty International Airport, JFK International Airport, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport, as well as critical infrastructure such as the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the Lincoln Tunnel, and the Holland Tunnel.
He has also led or contributed to the design of more than 10,000 wireless telecommunications sites throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area.
An experienced machinist, welder, fabricator, and carpenter, Schwartz brings a builder’s mindset to engineering—he can design and physically construct the systems he develops. This practical expertise enables him to deliver cost-effective, efficient solutions to complex infrastructure challenges.
Schwartz is an inventor holding nine patents for innovative solutions to real-world engineering problems, including telecommunications infrastructure and structural systems deployed in dense urban environments.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
